Texas Artist of the Rolling Plains and Plateaus
The plains of north central Texas are rich with a lifestyle living on the range or the plateaus with incredible scenery. Every day is filled with adventures including cows, longhorns, horses, cowboys, Jack Rabbits, deer, and more living among the prairies and wildflowers. Karen finds comfort and home here and enjoys taking her camera with her when she rides by horse or by car! It is from her adventures here in the Lone Star State as well as travels out of state to Wyoming, chasing the wild herds of horses for her own reference photos to paint from.
Whispering winds stir
Through the rain on the sage.
Thundering hooves roll
Through the mesas and plains.
Mysteries of wild horses infuse my soul
To take me to places
I would have never have known.
